Highland Boundary Fault Map

It separates two distinctly different physiographic and geological terrains: The highland boundary fault is a geological fault that crosses scotland diagonally from arran and helensburgh on the west coast to stonehaven in the east. The boundary between the dalradian and the highland border complex, the highland boundary fault, is therefore a major fracture bringing unrelated (but not exotic) highland border complex rocks adjacent to the dalradian block.

Not sure if this is the highland fault itself or a different schism that just happens to run in the same direction.
